Welcome to the Churcher’s College digital archive

Officially set up in 2005, the school archive exists to gather, catalogue, communicate and preserve the history of our school, founded through the benefaction from local businessman, Richard Churcher, in 1722. Many records by then had unfortunately disappeared, although a thorough account of the school’s history through existing accounts remains.

On this site, you can access back issues of the school magazine, the Churcherian, which began in 1913 as a twice-yearly record of events, activities, news, school notes and records of Old Churcherians. The search facility helps those seeking out information on their time at school, family members as well as the history and development of the school itself.

The digital archive is still in its infancy and we will continue to bring the School’s rich history to life in the run up to the 300th anniversary celebrations in 2022 and beyond. If you are thinking of contributing anything to the Churcher’s archive, we would be delighted to hear from you.
